At the historic
Hotel Coolidge
White River Junction, Vermont
Opened in 1849 as the Junction House by Colonel Sam Nutt who recognized the need for a fine hotel in White River Junction a major hub of the railroad and river traffic. The Junction House burned in 1859 but was rebuilt even larger in 1878. In 1924 Colonel Wheeler renamed the hotel in honor of his friend Colonel John Calvin Coolidge father of President Coolidge.
Recent renovations have kept the hotel up to date while maintaining its historic qualities.
In recent times the Hotel Staff have been active in the rejuvenation of downtown White River Junction.
